Le CD-Rom
It is a complement of the videotapes and the book, composed of a debate, a glossary, a bibliography and testimonies.
The debate gathers specialists who discuss their practice (Luc Druart, cytogenetician; Laurent
Fermont, gynaecologist obstetrician sonographer; Pierre Lasfargues, gynaecologist obstetrician; Pierre
Foucaud, service manager in Paediatry; Israël Nisand, gynaecologist obstetrician sonographer;
Monique Nouvel, radiologist). Their reflexions unveil the affective and ethical dimension of the ultrasound
of pregnancy : the formulated problems appeal to the globality of the person, whether it be the patient and
her relatives, or the professionnal himself, who is often questioned far beyond his medical technique. This
deepened research on the relationship in ultrasound testing brings an essential contribution to the construction
of "enlightened consent".
This CD-Rom allows to refer to a hypertext glossary with multimedia illustrations.
A seeking tool makes the access to numerous books easier.
A bibliographical
data base makes it possible to carry out multi-criteria search (title, author, year of edition, etc).
It counts many works (~200) and places at your disposal for each work its bibliographical references,
cover, summary and contents.
Finally, in the rubric of Testimonies, you will discover "The Little Femur", a nicely written
short story by a mother.
This CD-Rom won the special prize of the jury during the festival of Medical and Chirurgical film and
CD-Rom of the 1999 Interviews of Bichat hospital.
